I had a chance to publish a few galleries this weekend from my coverage @ the Rochester International Jazz Festival - You can see new galleries from:

"Russell Malone & Benny Green": - There show @ the Kilbourn Hall was one of the highlights of the week - I remember vividly Mr Malone playing an old Ray Charles classic "I Can't Stop Loving You" in tribute to the R&B legend and after the final notes were played there wasn't a dry eye in the house...The crowd erupted into a standing ovation that lasted five minutes... They are two of the best players on the scene - Go and pick up "Jazz @ the Bistro" this album really showcases there playing....Enjoy the gallery

"Jeremy Pelt": It's hard to believe this cat is only 26...I caught both his sets @ The MAX and Mr Pelt and hid band were absolutely brilliant - There's something about Jeremy's stage presence and stance when he plays that envokes images of the legendary Miles Davis - Mr Pelt's "Close to My Heart" album has not left my cd player all month! - If you haven't had the chance to hear any of this album go pick it up - His cense of melody and song/string arrangements are wonderful...

"James Blood Ulmer": The legend! This gentleman has played with some of the greats...It was a real treat to see him play - Just Blood his guitar and that trademark voice, brilliant!

I will be adding more galleries this week from "Rite of Strings", "Walter Wolfman", "Melvin Sparks" and more...
