My weekend was essentially spent hanging with the kids and shooting Sevendust...

I documented the bands day on 8.07.09, it started with me following Clint, John and Lajon to the radio station for an acoustic set.

I was told by a resident DJ that the station was a bomb shelter @ one time. It was the size of my closet, and smelled like a hospital...

After the acoustic set the band did a meet and greet with fans and the USO (soldiers from Fort Drum) they followed that with a soundcheck, before getting started the building was cleared and everyone was asked to leave with the exception of a chosen few.

They played two new songs (the band doesn't want the new material leaked, so all cell phones were turned off and if you got caught talking or recording while the band soundchecked, Yoshi dragged you out of the venue by your ears)

The new tunes were killing.

Shot em' again on 8.09.09, I'll publish some photos from 7dust later in the week...

Also have some Hatebreed snaps I'll put up...

Here's a few from my shoot with God Forbid...

Some fun pics of SKINDRED.

For these pics I used my Canon EOS I, glass 85mm f/1.2, a few rolls of Kodak TRI-X and ba da bing...

Isn't that boring? I'll save you the torture of "I used this specific strobe light and ya da ya da" it was essentially your basic studio set up.

I will say this, these snaps were taken towards the end of the shoot.

The Slash props were put away, many Corona's had been consumed, many laughs had been had, and we'd made are way through the following albums on the iPod

The Cult - Love
Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks
The Clash *self titled*
The Bad Brains - Build A Nation
Some random Frank Sinatra...
The Crystal Method, I forget which album, it might have been Vegas...

The last time I saw the Crystal Method I thought my life was going to end. Me, Ken from The Crystal Method, there tour manager and a security guard (Bobby) from The Water St Music Hall piled into a truck and pointed it towards the closest strip club.

The ride of death.

80 miles an hour the whole way to the club. Ken had an 8th of blow on his lap which ended up on the floor after Bobby cut a corner to sharp and hit a huge pothole...I remember thinking, perfect place for that stuff...
