Never been a big fan of the Rap/Metal/Rock genre, it was rubbish and I'm glad it's come and gone...Only one band did it justice, and that was Rage Against the Machine.

My shoot with Hollywood Undead last week had me all nostalgic about the demise or resurrection (fingers crossed that doesn't happen again) of that genre...

I did some digging through my older pics, and found a pile of Limp Bizkit, HED pe and Korn, circa 96 - 97

The first KORN album in 94' was groundbreaking, but seriously, did you care about anything the band put out after that?

HED pe's 1st album was also quite excellent, again everything after that release, who cares.

I remember vividly the moment I got turned on to this band from Cali, fronted by a charismatic, dreadlocked, didgeridoo playing vocalist.

Brandon's vocal acrobatics initially reminded me a lot of Mike Patton, the musicianship, harmonies and songwriting killed me, S.C.I.E.N.C.E is still my favorite Incubus album.

In late 96 early 97' Incubus made a change in the line-up, DJ Lyfe got the axe and Kilmore was called in to pick up duty on the wheels. Once the line-up was sorted out they hit the road in support of the S.C.I.E.N.C.E album.

It was a blast seeing and shooting them so early in there career...it's been ages, I can't wait to shoot them again this summer...

I shot Static-X last week, I haven't seen them since the late 90's, actually I think it was early 2000. I really dug the Wisconsin Death Trip album, after that I sort of lost interest.

The last time I shot them Ken Jay was still playing drums, not sure what happened with him, he was cool as a fan, and could drink like a champ, we got destroyed after the bands set on many an occasion. I was looking through some of my older Static pics, it's insane the amount of b&w film I was shooting back then, I'll publish some older shots later in the week.

When I got to the venue I was informed by Static's tour manager Dink (yes that's what he goes by, I'm not making it up) that Wayne would rather hang out on the bus with his porn star squeeze Tera Wray then get his photo taken... I can see Wayne scratching his head debating, should I take photos with Scott Stewart and do some press or just chill with my wickedly hot porn star wifey? hmm Scott or hottie? Scott or hottie?...Tera has many talents, some of them I'm sure you're hip to, but did you know, she is quite the agile cocktail waitress, she fetch's the band shots inbetween songs, at a girl, Wayne got himself a keeper. I blasted off some frames of Tony and Koichi in the bands dressing room, just portrait stuff, also shot them live...

The yard apes (security staff) that the Townballroom in Buffalo NY have on staff are absolute idiots, I'm not going to get into a rant, that just needs to be said...

The Chi Cheng auction is done, I'll post up details from that when I sort them out...Thanks to everyone who bid!

I also put a few new Static-X photos in Port III on my site...

(Shitty photo used to illustrate my point)
