I'm listening to Saigon Kick's - Water album on my iPod at an ear bleeding decibel...My lord, I haven't listened to this disc in years...It's f**king brilliant! I forgot how great these songs are...dare I say classic, sounds just as cool now as it did back in the early 90's...here's my little tip for you not in the know, go cop this album on Amazon (you can get one used for 52 cents, you can't get a pack of gum for that much) - What the hell is Jason doing?!? You should be making music brother! Bring Saigon Kick back!

Have you watched this movie yet? Well ya need to...so get to it

Al Gore, ya know the guy who was president for a blink until the chimp stole the election from him...man what a farce that election was...What in gods name is this fool thinking?!? C'mon now, lets not kid ourselves there is no denying Bush is thee absolute worst president ever and for so many reasons, um yea lets see what can I do to serve my country while in office...hey I know, lets tell a myriad of lies and go start a war with this country for no reason whatsoever...we'll say we're fighting terror...our soldiers and Iraq citizens are dying for oil...

Mr. Gore aka the guy who should be president did a stellar job presenting the facts, his presentation is informative, compelling and frankly scary as hell, if we don't do something about the very real Global Warming issue that we are causing there are going to be some heavy ramifications.

I had a chance to shoot Head Automatica the other night. It was great to see Daryl again, I haven't seen him in ages, not since the Snocore tour a number of years ago when he played with his other band Glassjaw. I swear that dudes got a photographic memory, he knew exactly who I was...The shots came out great...The guitar player in the band, I forget his name, asked me if I was using a digital camera. I said "What's that? bro I'm old school, strictly film for me"...Ok, I do some high end digtial work but essentially use my 20D for a light meter (how lame is that, 1200 bucks for a f**king light meter!?!)...the band looked and sounded great, I like this project Daryl's doing, it allows him to stretch out and do some song writing that wouldn't fit with the Glassjaw aesthetic...

Shot k-os last night in a college dining room, it had a very Breakfast Club vibe to it (you remember that flick right?) a lot of TRL girls in the front row with there Gym Class Hero t-shirts on...k-os played only a half hour set, wish it was more...he opened the gig, which I thought was odd...his band was excellent. I had a chance to chit chat with him after the show, he's a very articulate cat...my homie did an interview with him for a nationally published zine...I did the photo thing...no candids just live pics, I was going to ask to snap a few shots after the interview but the vibe didn't feel right and the tour manager Andrew Brereton made it clear that Kevin usually isn't in the mood to take photos after his set. Oh really? This piece is for a nationally published magazine and he's not in the mood?!? GTFOOHWTBS! He played 30 freeging minutes, I don't think he even broke a sweat, c'mon now...the bullshit I have to deal with...

I changed the 2nd shot of Thursday and put a new one in it's place (Music II port)

I have a ton of photos to put up from Russell Malone, Head Automatica and k-os...I was also debating on putting up a few pics from my lowrider shoot, we'll see...actually I might just send a few shots to Ross, he digs asian chicks...

I got to the Thursday gig late last night, still ended up having an hour of downtime before the shoot, so I got my drink on...ran into a few of my buds I have'nt seen in ages, we chatted about music and chicks...boring

The band is super laid back...really nice guys...I had two minutes *literally* to shoot them before they went on stage...

I didn't have a chance to catch up with Murder By Death, may re-schedule and shoot the band in a month or two when they open up for the Reverend Horton Heat...

Shooting Lupe Fiasco and Rahzel tomorrow night...

I must say he has excellent taste...

Hi Scott,

I wanted to take a second and tell you how great of a photographer I think you are. I got a copy of the photo you took of me and it had your web site on the bottom, so I checked it out. Great stuff.

Do you work out of Rochester?

Well I just wanted to drop you an email and let you know I really like your work.

Maybe we can work together again.

X-Mas shopping is killing me this year, I should have just done it all on-line...

I just got confirmation, I'm shooting Every Time I Die in Buffalo on the 22nd.

New Senses Fail shots added to my 2nd port.

I've started this project in my studio, basically just trying to get more organized. I need an intern who'll work for pizza and beer lol, there are literally thousand of photos and negatives that need to be alphabetized and put away in filing cabinets.

I found this old shot of The Rev, I'll try and publish it later today.

"5 killer albums of 06"

If you dig the album don't be a punk, go buy it! What a novel idea...support the artist "Don't steal it off the internet"

The BellRays - Have a Little Faith

Celtic Frost - Monotheist

24-7 Spyz - Face the Day

TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain

Fishbone - Still Stuck in Your Throat

Monday, December 11, 2006

I picked up my Senses Fail prints from the lab and published one in my Music II portfolio...they came out killer

My Celtic Frost interview has been published on-line have a look when you get a minute...

I just got confirmation, I'll be shooting Senses Fail and Bleeding Through on the 28th...then on the 2nd I'll be shooting one of the illest bass players on the planet...

I'll have another portfolio up next week. I'm going through some of my older photos and I've found some cool ones that have never been published. I think you're going to dig em'

This is a lil creepy...WTF!?! ok I know my name is not the most different but c'mon now...another excellent photographer (not as good as me) with the same name. I may have to add my middle initial to my work...

"Scott Lee Stewart Photography" has a nice ring to it..maybe "Scotty Lee Photography" nah that's weak...actually "Scott L Stewart Photography" hmmm nah

Have a Great Holiday!

Thursday, November 16, 2006

I published a few Celtic Frost photos in my first portfolio...

For those asking, no you can't use any of my images for your fan sites

DJ Rap has a new album out. I never buy anything from iTunes, but I caved and spent the $10.00...well worth it...She's soooo hot, aesthetics aside the album is very good, and if you're reading this...

I would love to shoot with you!!

Saturday, November 11, 2006

I'm getting ready to watch that flick "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", but before I do I thought I would check in and give you an update...

I shot Celtic Frost the other night, the band sounded and looked killer, big ups to there road manager Wolfgang...A road manager who actually gives a shit about the band and not hunting down groupies and drugs...

My plan was to shoot the band with there fresh makeup and gear just before they went on stage, but it was raining out and that put the kabash on candid photos, so I had to settle for live shots. I was going to shoot them on there last North American date tonight, but it's a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from my crib to the venue and I'm so not into that...

I interviewed Martin Ain (Frost bass player and co-founding member) for a 400 word piece I'm writing on the band. I was slightly skeptical going into the interview. More like shitting my pants before the interview. I don't generally interview bands, I'm there to take photos not shove a mic in there face and ask boring and inane questions that they've already heard a thousand times before. I can already see him rolling his eyes and politely answering my silly question about his influences.

I wanted my interview to be different...before the interview I was neurotic, I kept repeating over and over in my head *obsessively* "What the fuck am I going to ask this guy, what are we going to talk about?!?"

What if he gives me one word answers and I don't understand a word he's saying (they are from Switzerland) When I got the call from Wolfgang saying he was ready to talk I almost blew it off. I'm glad I didn't, Martin turned out to be hella cool. I fired my first question at him and v'iola he was talking his ass off. Ain is a very articulate, captivating and intelligent cat with an eclectic view on things...

I'll put a link up to the article when it's been published...

I'll have photos up from the gig later in the week...

I'm also going to be adding another portfolio to the site for all of you asking for more photos...

Be Well
Scott
